SRF

This spaghetti sauce was reversed engineered by my dad's high school friend and then perfected by my dad and brother. As my dad tells it, whenever the school's cafeteria served up this spaghetti, all the jocks would double up their orders of lunch. It's that good.

1 lbs ground beef
1 tsp minced garlic
4 oz tomato paste (save the other half a can in the freezer wrapped in plastic wrap for another batch of SRF spaghetti)
1 cap liquid smoke (optional)
1 Tbs Worcestershire sauce
1 Tbs dried onion flakes
1 tsp dry mustard
dry red pepper flakes to taste
1 jar traditional Ragu spaghetti sauce (this is debatable if substitutions are allowed here)

Brown the beef and add the garlic about half way through the cooking process.
Add the tomato paste and stir to cook until it is incorporated.
Add in the liquid smoke and cook until it's absorbed.
Add in Worcestershire and cook until it's absorbed.
Add in onion, mustard and red pepper and stir again.
Add in the spaghetti sauce and simmer while the pasta cooks.
