Crab toasties

Once upon a time, we made something called crabbies with processed cheese spread AND butter.  We've since made a shift in our house to consume less processed things.  Sure we eat hot dogs and the like but we're trying to make our own versions from scratch.  For NYE dinner, we decided to try our hand at home made crabbies.  They were good but not in the proportions that we liked.  Here's what we'll do next time.
Adapted from Spicy Southern Kitchen

1/2 cup mayo
1/3 cup finely minced celery
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
3/4 tsp garlic powder
3/4 tsp (more more, to taste) of your favorite hot sauce
1 tbs dried parsley
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
6 ounces lump crab
5 split English muffins

Mix mayo, celery, onion, garlic powder, hot sauce and parsley in a bowl
Fold in crab and cheese
Add mixture to split English muffins and then broil until everything is golden and bubbly or bake at 375 for 10-15 minutes if you're scared of broiling things into a burnt crisp.

I can't call them toddlers anymore review- two girls loved them.  Carnivore, not so much, he passed.
And a 8/2021 update- edited the amount of cheese, I always go heavy on the hot sauce and now all three kiddos love em.  We don't have any leftovers but that's where we're at in life.
