Gnocchi with broccoli and cheese

 Low effort, high return.  

This absolutely has no website to link to.  I actually had to have the sous chefs watch the video to help we problem solve this before we got it in the oven. 


Broccoli, a learge head or more, chopped finely, grate those stems!

1 small onion chopped

salt

pepper

olive oil

garlic powder

White sauce-

4 tbs butter

1/4 cup flour

3 cups of milk*

2 packages of uncooked gnocchi

Shredded cheese (maybe 8 ounces?  measure with your heart)


Combine the broccoli, onion, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and olive oil to a large oven proof pan

Bake in the oven at 375 for 10-15 minutes

Add the white sauce and gnocchi and mix

Top with cheese

Cover and bake for 15 minutes

Uncover and pop under the broiler until it's crispy and toasty

Let it sit because it smells good but it's wicked hot

Don't eat boiling cheese


*I might have added more milk to get the right consistency.  I also didn't measure it.  You'll want enough sauce to cover everything and to make the gnocchi soft.  I would call it a thin pancake batter for reference.
