Apple pie overnight oats

 Trying to get on board with overnight oats.  It's easy and efficient to put together the night before and I always warm mine up for 30 seconds or so before I eat them.  

1 medium apple, peeled and chopped

1 tbs lemon juice

2 tbs water

1/2 tsp cinnamon

drizzle of maple syrup

Cook these ingredients in a small pan over medium low heat until all the liquid has evaporated

Set aside and let cool

In a small bowl, add together and mix 

1/2 cup rolled oats

1 tbs ground flax seeds

1 tsp pie spice

2 tsp maple syrup

scant 2/3 cup milk (cow or not cow)

optional, walnuts, orange zest or lemon zest


Layer the oat mixture in the bottom of a jar and top with the apple mixture

Store in the fridge overnight

Eat!

*I like more apples less oats.  Start here and reduce the oat mixture.
