London Fog latte
My bff came to visit over the holidays and when asked what her favorite tea was, she told us a London Fog latte. One of the kiddos had one once but we decided to make it at home. We had to procure the food grade lavender from online until I can check if my garden variety was safe to eat. We prefer them cold over here even in the dead of winter.
Adapted from Gimme some Oven (visit here if you don't want to make them 4 at a time)
4 cups boiling water
6 tea bags of Earl Grey (starting with 1/3 cup loose leaf)
1 1/2 tsp dried lavender
2-3 tbs agave, sugar, or honey
3/4 tsp vanilla extract
Milk of choice, steamed or frothed
Steep your tea and lavender for about 3-5 minutes in a large measuring cup for easier pouring
Put your sweetener and vanilla in a large glass jar and strain your tea into it
Cool in the fridge or serve hot
To serve, use equal parts tea and milk and enjoy
