Pita bread

1 tsp sugar

2 tsp yeast

160 ml warm milk

80 ml warm water

1 tbs olive oil

1 tsp salt

2 1/2 c regular flour


Milk the sugar, yeast, milk and water in a bowl and let the yeast start to bubble

Add the olive oil and stir one more time

Add the flour and salt and knead for 4-5 minutes

In a lightly oiled bowl, toss the ball of town and cover and let rise for 45 minutes

On an oiled surface, divide into 8 balls

Roll out into thin circle and then cook on both sides in a lightly oiled pan over medium to medium high heat
