Pastina

 Feeling under the weather calls for comfort food.  Carbs and cheese.


2 1/2 cups chicken broth, preferably home made

1 cup pastina or other tiny pasta

2 tbs butter

as much parmesan or pecorino romano cheese as you like

salt to taste

a lot of black pepper


Bring the chicken broth to a boil in a small sauce pan

Add the pastina and stir, cooking over a very low simmer 5-7 minutes depending on your pasta shape, taste for doneness, overly cooked is fine here since you want something soft anyway

Off heat, add in the pats of butter, cheese, salt to taste and the black pepper

Taste and serve
